Kendall Jenner "Quitting" the Runway

I almost fell of the elliptical watching E! the other night during my cardio session when the host rhetorically asked if Kendall Jenner was quitting the runway.

Kendall Jenner, from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, signed with Wilhelmina Models when she was 14 years old. For those who don’t know, Wilhelmina Models is one of the largest and most successful modeling agencies in the world. In the world, guys.

In. The. World.

Kendall quitting modeling would be a huge, gigantic, colossal, deal in the fashion industry. I mean, she was suspected by many fashion writers to be the “It” girl at New York Fashion Week.

Kendall has been on covers of magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar and Mexico’s Marie Claire. She has been in fashion shows for Marc Jacobs, Sherri Hill, Giles Deacon, and so many more well-established designers. And Forever 21? You bet she has been in their advertisements.

So why would a model with so many accomplishments and potential be rumored for quitting runway?

Maybe it has to do with the fact that a photoshopped picture of Kendall was on the cover of Famous magazine and read “Model Bosses blast Kendall Jenner”?

Yes, that was definitely it. After recovering from my miniature heart attack that E! gave me, the reporter said that the rumor is completely false. Apparently someone photoshopped cellulite onto Kendall’s legs from the Tommy Hilifiger show.

I repeat: Kendall Jenner is not quitting modeling or runway. It was just a nasty rumor.

IBT reported that Kendall has decided to drop her last name for sake of her modeling career. Personally, I don’t think it will change anything (girl, everyone knows who you are). But if dropping her last name will keep her from being bullied by other models and the media, then I’m all for it. That girl has serious talent and she will go far (well, she has already). I can picture her being the next Giselle.
