3 Outfits to Rock on Thanksgiving
With Thanksgiving coming up in just a few short weeks, I've been scrambling trying to think of the perfect outfit.
My "Perfect Holiday Outfit" Requirements:
Something cozy.
Comfortable, but not too loose to the point that I look like I don't have a figure.
Stylish.
Dressy, but not too over-the-top.
Can be worn with pumps if desired.
After tearing apart my closet, searching through magazines, and browsing in crowded holiday-shopper filled stores, I found the three best outfits for Thanksgiving.
1. The Sweater Dress
This timeless classic is so simple, it's almost too easy to overlook. It allows you to stay warm, while still leaving lots of room to show off some leg (or some ultra-cute tights). I really love this look for Thanksgiving because I feel like it's the perfect outfit for hugging all your realitives in. I mean, who doesn't like to hug someone with a warm, soft sweater on?
Plus, if you eat a little bit too much, if the dress is a tag loose, you won't be able to tell.
No one will be able to tell you had that big, savory piece of pecan pie.
(I love this dress from Nasty Gal. Get it here!)
2. A Skater Skirt and Chunky Sweater
If there's anything I love more than a great skater skirt, it's the fact that you can wear it in literally every season. Fall is no exception. Pair your favorite skater skirt with a thick turtleneck sweater, and you'll be having the whole room envious of your simple, yet stylish look.
To keep the look classic and sophicasted, I recommend keeping both the sweater and skirt neutral in color. A print on either the skirt or the sweater is a nice pop, but be careful to not pick a pattern that is too busy. If done wrong, this outfit can end up making you look larger than your actual size.

3. Faux Fur Vest
This look is probably my favorite outfit out of all of these. Faux fur vests are so glamorous and chic...and not to mention versatile!
Pair your favorite faux fur vest with a long sleeve mini dress, or even some leggings and a basic tee!
The possibilities are endless when it comes to a vest like this. You can even work it into your favorite winter basics (long sleeve shirt, skinny jeans, leggings, sweater dress, etc.) and wear it all season!
(Go glam in this vest from Akira. Shop it here!)
