Dressing for the Holidays: Night Out

During the holiday season it gets pretty chilly* here in the Midwest.

*So cold that you want to cry, but can't because your tears would freeze.

One of the struggles I constantly have, and I know many women like me go through as well, is how to actually look cute when it's so bitter out. Luckily, over the past year, I have fallen completely in love with faux fur and thigh high boots, which is a quick and easy look for just about any occasion.

I absoute adore faux fur because it keeps you warm and automatically makes any outfit stupidly glamorous without any effort involved.

Some of my favorite stores to get faux fur jackets and vests are Forever 21, H&M, Misguided, Macy's, and ASOS. There are a ton of places that sell faux fur, but I've found that those stores sell the best quality for a very low price tag.

Below, you'll see that this week I've paired one of my faux fur blazers with a simple long sleeve knit dress and laced thigh high boots. It was 28 degrees out when my momtographer (mom photographer) were outside taking these pictures. I wasn't cold one bit. That's saying a lot coming from someone who is always cold.

Tip: If you're worried about your legs getting cold, opt for sheer nylons and knee high socks. If you're still cold, try pairing high-waisted black pants and a long sleeve crop top with a faux fur jacket. It's totally chic, and you'll still look hot.

I like to keep my makeup simple and really play up my hair and lips when I wear faux fur since it gives that glam look by itself already! Don't overdo it!

That's all I have for today ladies! I hope you enjoyed. If you have any requests about certain outfits for events this season, please let me know!

Stay warm!
