Dressing for the Holidays: Casual Afternoon

During the holiday season, I'm constantly running around buying last-minute gifts, picking up more wrapping supplies, and, of course, grabbing a cup of coffee with friends.

Though I am a fan of dressing up everyday, there are days where I like to be super comfortable and casual, but still somewhat pulled together. Running errands and catching up with friends for an hour or so are perfect examples of those times.

So what do I wear?

Typically, my go-to casual outfit in the winter is a pair of booties, leggings (or legging-like pants), and a sweater or blouse. I like to give my hair a break from my typically everyday waves and holiday curls, so most of the time I will throw it into a messy top knot or bun.

This week's outfit was no exception. As you can see, I paired an off-the-shoulder blouse from Francesca's (yes, the same one from my fall shopping guide) with some black Guess booties and slipped on some zipper-detail skinnies.
