The Most Positive Post You'll Read Today

It's a new month. It's going to be filled of new people, surprises, energy, brilliance, and change—if you let it (and I hope you do).

How do I know this?

I don’t. But my monthly horoscope mentioned about three of those things, so I’m running with it.

The fact is, we can change the way we look at anything in life. If we’re dissatisfied with our lives, the only real thing we need to change is our attitude. It’s strange how always starts with yourself, isn’t it?

2017 is a new year and even though we’re already two months in, that doesn’t mean that those broken resolutions have to be completely thrown away. I understand that the winter blues have gotten to you, but I promise that you can pull yourself out of it. This month, I want you to feel the most inspired and motivated that you’ve felt all year (plus be able to finally read something non-controversial on your newsfeed).

That’s exactly what I’ve been pulling together a few articles I’ve found this week and some of my favorite quotes. Enjoy!

TOP 3 ARTICLES

If you know me really well, you know I read a Forbes article literally every morning. This article I read yesterday breaks down eight of the habits you are doing that have to be stopped to make us more productive—I’m guilty of them too! The habit I’m most guilty of? Responding to emails right away. It’s disruptive and always sidetracks me.

You’re looking for a job. You’re frustrated. Confused. Annoyed. You’re also probably spending hours on hours applying for jobs that you have what feels like a 2% chance of getting called back for. I totally understand how you feel—I’ve been there—but this article will definitely help you. It’s worth a shot to read it, right?

Not only does this article take less than two minutes to read, but the tips in here are simple and also help relieve stress. In a gist: make sure to prepare, stay in the moment, and celebrate the little things. But read the whole article because it is so easy to understand that you’ll feel oddly calm reading it.
