Here's How to Dress Up Any Outfit with a Luxury Designer Purse Without Breaking the Bank

With a week full of varied events and occasions, I knew I needed one specific item to help me get through it all: a statement bag.

For those of you who either know me well, or have been following my blog, you know that two items I always invest in are shoes and bags. These two items can instantly change the look of nearly any outfit and are, in my opinion, the most important accessories.

Investing in a good pair of shoes ensures not only comfort and quality, but style as well. Think about it. I mean, can you even keep track of the number of times you have worn those classic nude heels you splurged on forever ago?

That's my point.

The same goes for bags.

Choosing a statement or staple bag — if you're lucky, you'll find one that's both! — is another investment that is well worth it. However, when you're into as fashion as much as I am, you realize that sometimes your taste can be quite expensive. Luckily, DesignerShare helped me out this past week.

For those of you who haven't read my first blog article about DesignerShare, I recommend that you take a second to read it right now by clicking here. It's a quick five minute read and you'll understand more about what DesignerShare is and our collaboration.

This past week I had events such as my boyfriend's residency graduation, a concert, a quick trip out of town, Father's Day, and dinner with some family from out of town. I wanted an item that would polish off any outfit I wore, no matter how dressy or casual it was.

One brand I've always admired is Chanel, but with their bags typically retailing around $4,000 to $6,000+, it's not exactly the most affordable option for me at the moment. DesignerShare had an oversized black Chanel quilted handbag available for $150 per week (originally retailing at $5,000) that I was able to rent for free. As soon as I saw it, I knew it'd be perfect.

Once again, scheduling the drop off was easy. I scheduled mine a day or two after the request and it was approved and delivered in no time. I can't get over how easy it is to rent items through DesignerShare. In all honesty, the bag was much bigger than I thought it would be, but it ended up working out for the best. Designer bags sometimes have the tendency to overdress an outfit, but having it a little larger allowed me to dress up my outfits, but still be able to wear it on a daily basis.

I wore the bag to all of my events for the week and it looked amazing with everything. From a white and black maxi dress paired with statement earrings, to a simple romper and sandals, the bag seamlessly polished each look.

The only downfall is that I have to return the bag next week. It's so beautiful and goes with everything, but the beauty of DesignerShare is that I can rent something else just as amazing whenever I would like to — or even the same item!

All and all, although I said it a few weeks ago during my first rental, I honestly recommend DesignerShare to anyone. It's such a great concept and it really has the ability to connect one another and hopefully form a community soon.
