8 Brands That Are Totally Killing It on Instagram

“Instagram made me buy it!” is probably my go-to excuse for my ever-expanding closet. As a blogger, model, and influencer, social media tends to be a part of my daily life, so naturally, I’m always scrolling through Instagram and seeing amazing clothing items from the hottest brands.
Though I have many shopping centers near me, there’s just something about the brands that are really popular on Instagram. They’re fresh, trendy, and relatable. Most of them post funny memes, relatable quotes, and makeup inspiration photos, which makes me love the brands even more! Plus, I love supporting others like myself who are trying to make it in this social media heavy world.
Anyway, although I’m sure many of you have seen a ton of brands who are killing it on Instagram, I thought it would be fun to put some of my favorite Instagram popular brands all together in a post. Keep reading to find out about some of my favorite brands!
With over 2.5m+ followers on Instagram, there’s a pretty good chance that you’ve already heard of this trendy brand. And for good reason: it’s totally adorable. If you keep up with the Kardashians (sorry, I had to), you already know the news I’m about to share with you about PLT and Kourtney.
Recently, PLT released a collection with Kourtney Kardashian and it’s totally glam. It’s a total dream collection filled with satin, sequins, lace, and faux fur. If you’re a city girl, or just someone who isn’t afraid to be a bit extra, you’ll fall hard for this collection.
PLT is super trendy and super cute. If you need going out outfits of any kind, or have been looking for a specific trend you’ve seen on Instagram, check their site. Personally, I tend to head over to their site when I’m looking for dresses specifically, but the shoe section is also to die for.
I first discovered HoneyBum on accident. I don’t remember what exactly I was doing at the time, but once I scrolled through their Instagram, I was sold. When I went on to their site and read more about the company, I was even more so blown away.
Socially responsible companies and popping up more and more, but HoneyBum’s contribution to the ecosystem is one that I think is so simple, yet impactful. On the site, HoneyBum claims that for every order purchased they will plant flowers to save the bees. They also give bee fun facts on their site that are short and sweet eye openers. You can read about them here!
The clothes themselves on Honeybum and really trendy, but also wearable. One of my favorite things about their site is that they sell matching sets—together. Usually when I find sites that have matching sets, you have to buy the top and bottom separately, but that’s not always the case on HoneyBum’s site. You can get a matching set for around $8 to $72.
Akira is tied with Missguided for my favorite store ever. Akira is trendy, chic, and has a ton of statement pieces that people always ask me about. Every single time I wear something from Akira, I get a compliment on it. No joke.
A few weeks ago, I got to do a little video/photoshoot for Akira and it was a dream come true. If I could model for them full time, I would in a heartbeat. This is one of the companies that I’ve been lucky enough to meet some of the employees from, and the people that I came in contact with at Akira makes me love their brand even more.
Since it is based out of Chicago, I might be a bit biased when it comes to Akira. Honestly speaking, Akira has amazing clothes. They have bodysuits galore, sparkles to last a lifetime, and shoes that will literally starstruck you. It’s one of those stores that you’ll see actual styles from Instagram in, instead of having to buy it online and hope it looks like the picture (though they do have an online site too!). To sweeten things even further, it seems like they always have a sale going on. If you’re on a bit of a budget, always check their sale section because it changes so fast and everything is always gorgeous.
Miss Pap has over 747k+ followers on Instagram and there’s no secret behind why. Their entire feed is #goals. From amazing handbags to sequin leggings, you’ll be scrolling through and wanting to buy literally everything—well, at least I do.
My absolute favorite things to search for on Miss Pap are jackets. They have all of my favorite styles—including waterfall jackets! I’m entirely obsessed with their waterfall jackets. I want to have every single one of them in my closet. Their jackets are usually in neutrals colors like grey, black, camel, cream, and khaki, which makes me love them even more. You guys already know that neutrals are my life aesthetic!
Miss Pap has a ton of different collections on their website, so it’s really easy to find the trend that you’ve been looking for. Vinyl, military print, ruffles, reds—you name it, and it’s probably there. But definitely make sure to go check out their site to look at their jackets.
I feel like Showpo has been one of the leaders in Instagram-popular clothing brands. I don’t know if that’s true, but I feel like Showpo has been one of the first clothing brands I’ve really noticed on Instagram. They always post tons of videos (which I prefer when browsing on Instagram because you get to actually see how the fabric moves) and quotes that I can always relate to.
Even if I’m not necessarily looking for clothes, I love scrolling through their feed. It’s clean, chic, and feminine. Their website is also one that I find on the easier side to navigate. There aren’t a lot of pop-ups and you can see if your size is available while scrolling, instead of having to click the item first or sort by what’s available in your size.
The lookbooks on Showpo’s site is something I really love. You get to see how they styled different outfits and you can almost picture yourself in the setting the models are in. Some of the lookbooks are very fashion blogger style, meaning the photos are candid, staged, and lifestyle-esque. If you’ve never seen them, you need to go look at some ASAP.
If you’ve read fashion posts of mine on my blog before, there’s a really good chance that you already know how obsessed I am with Missguided. I have worn Missguided items for blogger events, weddings, special dinners, modeling events, etc. It’s one of my absolute favorite online stores ever.
For those of you who follow Carli Bybel, you already know that she launched her collection with Missguided already and that it’s incredibly gorgeous. The pieces are absolutely perfect for the holidays because of all of the satin fabrics and sparkly details. I couldn’t have pictured a better brand for her collection to be created with.
Not only does Missguided have a ton of really trendy items, but they seem to always have a sale of some kind going on (and a student discount!). The pieces are quality pieces, but are still really affordable. Personally, their dresses are usually what I look at first, but honestly everything on their site is amazing.
Oh Polly is essentially your ideal Instagram closet. They always have a ton of basic pieces that have the cutest details that really make it not-so-basic and incredibly wearable. The items that I’ve gotten from Oh Polly have been amazing quality. I was stunned at how soft and durable the fabric was when I first opened my first package from Oh Polly, which has made me a big fan of the company.
Oh Polly’s Instagram feed is dangerous because I scroll through and can picture myself wearing literally every item they post. I first found Oh Polly because of this influencer I follow named Tammy Hebrew (you should follow her too if you haven’t, she’s fitness goals!) and I’m so happy about it because I’ve been able to find dresses for occasions that I spend so long trying to find the right look for.
If jumpsuits are your thing, make sure you look at their site because they have a bunch of jumpsuits that are perfect for every occasion. All the photos I’ve seen of models and influencers in the jumpsuits have been flawless, so I feel like they’ll fit most of my readers quite well!
Miss Bardo’s Instagram feed has been my faux fur inspiration recently. The blush tones and bright reds have been giving me major glam vibes. The fact that Miss Bardo also posts photos and videos on makeup, celebrities, and cute animals, brightens up my day so much. Their 40.4k+ followers would probably agree with me too.
Miss Bardo’s site is filled with many of the popular trends you’ve been seeing on Instagram, but with a more adorable price tag. Personally, I can’t get enough of their jackets, coats, and sweaters. That’s always the first section I go to on their site!
If you’ve been looking for cute velvet pieces specially, I highly recommend you try looking on their site for some. They have a ton of jumpsuits and trousers that look so cozy!
Though there are dozens more of brands on Instagram, I hope you all enjoyed learning a little bit about why these ones are my favorites! If you have any questions at all, please feel to email me or DM me on Instagram and I’ll be happy to help!
I love working with fellow creatives and supporting one another! If you’re a brand reading this and would like to collaborate, partner, or sponsor, please send me an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
