Early August Update: Photoshoots, Castings, & More!

If there's anything that is surprising me the most this summer, it's the fact that time is going by so quickly. I don't even know how it's already a week into August. My birthday is on the 16th and I can't believe that almost a year has gone by, let alone most of summer.

August for me has been a crazy busy month already. I know a lot of you who read my blog sometimes wonder what a typical day in my life looks like (I get so many of you asking what I actually do for a living, which is hard to answer because I do a lot!), but my life varies so dramatically day-to-day, so I wanted to share a little bit about what's been going on lately.

Mostly, I've been busy with photoshoots this month, but I really want to share a bit about a recent one. Just over a week ago, I had a photoshoot for a new app that's going to be launching in early fall. I think you're all going to love it! It's not my app, but the founder of it is one of the kindest people I've met. She has such a big heart and one heck of a buisness concept! I got to sit down with her a few months ago to learn more about her app and where she's going with it. If you're interested in learning more about it, let me know on social media (Instagram DM's are usually easiest for me to keep track of) and I'll see if she's game for me writing a post about it once it launches.

Anyway, the shoot went super smoothly and all of the other models involved were so sweet. I had an amazing time getting to know everyone during glam; I love connecting with other empowering people, especially in my industries! The photographer was incredible as well; we shot some photos afterwards too (I'll leave a couple below for you to see!).

Meanwhile during the week, I balanced some shifts at work, worked a few promotional events, and during my off time, I got to spend some days with my boyfriend. During my off time, I was able to sit down and finally put together a media kit for Humps & Pumps. I'm so proud of it. It is super on-brand (of course) and clean-looking.

I also got to get together with my best friends to celebrate all of our accomplishments. They both started new jobs and are totally killing it at the moment!

Other than that, I've been able to spend more time with my family. My hometown had a big annual festival, so some of my family got together and just spent time with one another. We reminisced about several memories that had me in tears laughing.

I've also been prepping for an upcoming pageant I'm competing in, so that's been taking up a big chunk of my time (but in the best way possible). Closer to the pageant, I'll add some highlights to my Instagram stories so you can get a peak into some of what I've been doing to prepare.

On Monday, I submitted my photos to my agent for a casting for a commercial, which I'm really hoping to get. I love print modeling, but commercial modeling is something I want to do more of. So keep your fingers crossed for me please!

Most recently, as of yesterday, I found out that I booked a promotional opportunity in the middle of September which I'm really excited about. The days will be long, but I don't mind. I love getting to network, educate others about products, and represent the brand.

To top it all off, I am catching up on emails and ending my "work day" with a photoshoot today in the evening. Stay tuned to my social media; I'll be posting some photos once I get the edited ones!

I'm going to work on creating more video content and trying to film some behind-the-scenes clips during my shoots, but sometimes it gets so busy that I can't quite get to it. I'm going to work on it though, promise!

Anyway, I'm sitting in a coffee shop at the moment and can't see to find an outlet for my laptop charger, so I'll be wrapping this post up here. I hope you all enjoyed getting to hear about what's been going on! As always, if you have any questions or requests, feel free to reach out. I'm always available and can usually get back to you all within a day or so.
